About the role: We are seeking a dynamic and highly strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) & Head of Investor Relations to lead our financial operations, capital strategy, and investor engagement initiatives. This is a critical leadership role responsible for shaping the company's financial health and fundraising strategy as we scale operations and build high-impact energy infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Finance & Capital Management - Develop and lead the financial strategy, annual budgeting, and long-term planning aligned with business goals. - Manage capital allocation, fundraising strategy (equity, debt, and project-based financing), and investor outreach. - Oversee cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions to ensure financial sustainability. Investor Relations & Fundraising - Build and maintain relationships with VC/PE firms, family offices, institutional investors, and HNIs. - Lead fundraising rounds and organize investor roadshows, meetings, and site visits. - Craft compelling investor communications including pitch decks, business plans, and financial models. - Maintain an up-to-date investor data room and ensure readiness for due diligence processes. Financial Reporting & Compliance - Ensure timely preparation of financial reports and MIS in accordance with Indian accounting standards. - Oversee audit processes and ensure compliance with regulatory, tax, and statutory requirements. - Liaise with legal, audit, and compliance teams to manage investor and regulatory reporting. Risk & Performance Management - Identify financial risks and implement control measures and internal processes to mitigate them. - Track financial performance metrics and provide actionable insights to leadership for business decisions. - Benchmark performance against market and industry trends. Leadership & Team Building: - Build and lead the finance, accounting, and compliance team. - Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement. Qualifications: - CA with 8-12 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles. - Proven experience in fundraising, investor relations, and strategic finance, preferably in infrastructure, energy, or capital-intensive sectors. - Strong analytical, financial modelling, and communication skills. - Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and drive investor confidence. - Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on and solutions-driven approach. - An established network of investors in the energy and infrastructure sectors is a strong advantage. - Hands-on approach with a high degree of ownership and adaptability in a startup environment.
