Position: Chief Financial Officer

Role Summary

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will lead the companys financial strategy, planning, and operations. This role is responsible for ensuring financial discipline, driving business growth, managing investor relationships, and building a strong governance and compliance framework. The CFO will act as a strategic business partner to the CEO and the leadership team to support long-term value creation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Strategy & Planning

- Develop and drive the companys financial strategy aligned with long-term business goals.

- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

- Conduct scenario planning, ROI analysis, and risk assessments.

- Provide financial guidance on expansion, CAPEX, new product launches, or M&A opportunities.

2. Financial Operations & Control

- Oversee all accounting, financial reporting, taxation, treasury, AP/AR, and compliance functions.

- Implement robust internal controls, policies, and governance frameworks.

- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

3. Fundraising & Investor Relations

- Lead equity / debt fundraising initiatives with banks, NBFCs, PE/VC investors, and strategic partners.

- Prepare investor presentations, board reports, and financial updates.

- Maintain strong relationships with investors, financial institutions, and analysts.

4. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

- Optimize cash flow, working capital cycles, and cost structures.

- Implement efficient treasury and liquidity management strategies.

- Ensure robust financial discipline across procurement, inventory, and operations.

5. Compliance & Risk Management

- Ensure full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements (GST, Income Tax, ROC, Ind AS/IFRS/GAAP).

- Mitigate financial risks through insurance, hedging, and control mechanisms.

- Conduct internal audits and collaborate with external auditors.

6. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Build and mentor a high-performing finance team.

- Work closely with operations, supply chain, sales, HR, and technology teams.

- Drive digital transformation across finance systems (ERP, automation, analytics).

Required Qualifications & Experience

- CA / CPA / MBA in Finance or equivalent.

- 15+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 3 to 5 years in a senior leadership role.

- Proven experience in financial strategy, fundraising, and governance.

- Experience in [manufacturing / automotive / EV / startup / high-growth environments] preferred.

- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, taxation, and compliance.

- Expertise in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Tally Prime, etc.).
