A leading active trader-focused retail brokerage established in 2015. With a robust presence in the USA, Canada, and Europe, we provide a broad product suite including equities, options, and a unique patented short-locate ecosystem. As we expand into the Indian market, we are looking for a visionary leader to establish and scale our operations within the GIFT City International Financial Services Centre (IFSC).

Role Purpose:
The CEO - India will be the primary architect of the firm's entry and growth in the Indian market. You will be responsible for obtaining necessary licenses from the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA), building a high-performing local team, and establishing the firm as the premier platform for active retail and institutional traders in the region.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Setup: Lead the end-to-end setup of the India entity in GIFT City
- Define and execute the Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy tailored to the Indian active trader landscape in line with the US plan and market reach
- Work with an interact with an experienced group of existing Indian based staff that currently support the BDs in other jurisdictions
Regulatory & Compliance Management:
- Serve as the primary liaison with IFSCA and GIFT City officials to secure and maintain the Capital Market Intermediary license.
- Ensure 100% compliance with SEZ rules, IFSCA regulations, and AML/KYC international standards.
Operational Excellence:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including the implementation of the firm's proprietary trading platforms in the local market.
- Manage the "Self-Clearing" transition and infrastructure for the India business.
Business Development & Growth:
- Drive client acquisition strategies to attract high-ARPU active traders and institutional clients.
Key Skills:
- Deep understanding of equities, options, and securities lending (stock locates).
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage a $100k+ budget and drive unit economic scalability.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills to interface with global leadership in the US/Bahamas and local regulators in India.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience: Proven leadership experience (12+ years) in the financial services or fintech sector, preferably within a retail brokerage or capital markets environment.
- Prior experience navigating the regulatory landscape of GIFT City (IFSC) or similar Special Economic Zones (SEZ) is highly preferred.
- Education: CA / Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Compensation and Benefits: Attractive Fixed Compensation commensurate with roles and grade + High Variable linked to performance
