Job Summary: We are seeking an entrepreneurial and investment-savvy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our early-stage Oil & Gas exploration company, headquartered in Delhi. The CEO will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's strategic direction, securing capital, driving asset value creation, and building investor confidence. The ideal candidate brings a rare combination of technical expertise, commercial acumen, and capital markets experience - and is motivated to scale a high-growth venture from inception. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Direction & Asset Development - Define and execute the company's short and long-term exploration roadmap - Drive acquisition and development of high-potential upstream blocks (NELP/HELP rounds or farm-ins) - Oversee valuation modeling, reserve estimation, and project economics 2. Regulatory & Government Relations - Secure exploration licenses, permits, and environmental clearances - Liaise with DGH, MoPNG, and other regulatory authorities to ensure full compliance and build strategic alignment 3. Fundraising & Capital Strategy - Lead equity and debt fundraising efforts from institutional investors, PE/VC firms, family offices, and strategic partners - Develop and present compelling investment narratives and pitch decks - Manage investor relations, reporting, and value communication 4. Operational Execution - Establish core technical and operational teams - Oversee seismic surveys, geological evaluations, drilling programs, and contractor selection - Ensure HSE compliance and operational excellence from Day 1 5. Corporate Development - Build and scale an agile organizational structure - Evaluate JV, M&A, and monetization opportunities to unlock shareholder value - Serve as a key spokesperson to media, investors, and government Qualifications: - Bachelor's/Master's in Petroleum Engineering, Geosciences, or Energy Management - MBA, CFA, or equivalent business/finance credentials strongly preferred - 15-20 years in Oil & Gas, with at least 5 years in a C-level or founder/investor-facing role - Proven success in capital raising and investor engagement in the energy sector Key Competencies: - Deep understanding of upstream operations, asset valuation, and risk mitigation. - Demonstrated ability to raise and deploy capital effectively in an early-stage setting. - Excellent financial modeling, investor communication, and strategic planning skills. - Strong relationships with regulators, investors, and industry peers. - Entrepreneurial drive with a sharp focus on returns and scalability.
