Chief Executive Officer - Manufacturing

Role Purpose:

The CEO will be responsible for leading the overall business with complete accountability for P&L, growth, operations, manufacturing, and strategic development. The role requires a commercially strong and hands-on leader who can manage a complex manufacturing business and work closely with the promoters and senior leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the overall business with full P&L responsibility.

- Develop and execute business strategy to drive revenue, profitability, and long-term growth.

- Oversee manufacturing and processing operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, quality, and cost optimization.

- Lead functions including operations, sales, finance, procurement, supply chain, HR, and administration.

- Drive capacity expansion, process improvement, and operational excellence initiatives.

- Develop strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, financial institutions, and other stakeholders.

- Monitor market trends and identify new business and growth opportunities.

- Establish strong performance management systems and business KPIs.

- Ensure effective risk management, compliance, and corporate governance.

- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing management team.

- Report business performance and strategic initiatives to the Board / Promoters.

Skills and Experience:

Candidate Profile:

- 15- 20 years of overall experience with significant leadership experience.

- Proven experience in processing or manufacturing is mandatory.

- Experience managing a medium-to-large scale manufacturing / processing business with P&L ownership.

- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain, procurement, sales, and commercial functions.

- Proven ability to drive business growth, profitability, and operational transformation.

- MBA from a premier institute is mandatory/preferred.

- Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.

- Experience working in Africa / Nigeria or other emerging markets will be an advantage.

- Willingness to be based in Lagos, Nigeria.
