
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Graduate/Post-Graduate in Management, Logistics, Engineering, or Finance. MBA preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 15-20 years in logistics, shipping, or CFS operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership/CEO/COO role.
Technical Competencies:
- Strong understanding of CFS operations, Customs processes, port infrastructure, and Shipping Line Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic & Business Leadership
- Define and execute short-term and long-term business strategies to drive revenue growth, capacity utilization, and profitability.
- Identify new business opportunities in the logistics and allied sectors (e.g., ICD, FTWZ, warehousing, transport, and value-added services).
- Lead annual business planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting in coordination with the Board and CFO.
2. Operations & Performance Management
- Oversee end-to-end CFS operations - including yard, warehouse, transport, documentation, and customs coordination.
- Drive efficiency in turnaround time, inventory management, and equipment utilization.
- Implement and monitor KPIs across departments to ensure continuous performance improvement.
- Ensure adherence to all statutory, customs, and port regulations.
3. Financial & Commercial Management
- Monitor revenue streams, cost controls, and working capital management.
- Optimize pricing, vendor negotiations, and contract terms for maximum profitability.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting, audit compliance, and risk management.
4. People Leadership & Organizational Development
- Build, mentor, and motivate a high-performing management team.
- Drive accountability, performance evaluation, and succession planning.
- Promote a culture of operational discipline, safety, ethics, and customer orientation.
5. Stakeholder & Business Relationship Management
- Liaise with Port Authorities, Customs, Shipping Lines, CHA agents, transporters, and regulatory bodies.
- Represent the company in key industry forums, government interactions, and high-level negotiations.
- Maintain transparent communication with the Board regarding company performance and strategic decisions.
