The company is India's largest player in the landscaping and softscaping sector, with an annual turnover of INR 250 Cr and a 40% YoY growth rate. Clients include airports, large corporate offices, residential localities, and universities across prestigious private sector companies.
Role Purpose:
The CEO will be responsible for driving the overall business, including operations, project execution, strategic growth, and profitability. The incumbent will lead large-scale landscape, horticulture, and green infrastructure projects while ensuring operational excellence, client satisfaction, and sustainable business expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Strategy & Growth:
- Partner with promoters to define and execute long-term business strategy.
- Identify new business opportunities across commercial real estate, industrial parks, airports, hospitality, and infrastructure.
- Expand into new geographies and service offerings.
- Develop strategic partnerships with developers, architects, and government agencies.
2. Operations & Project Delivery:
- Lead end-to-end execution of landscape, horticulture, irrigation, and EPC projects.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.
- Establish operational excellence through SOPs and project governance.
3. Financial Leadership & P&L Management:
- Own the overall business P&L and drive sustainable profitability.
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Improve gross margins through commercial management and cost optimization.
4. Business Development & Client Management:
- Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders including developers and government agencies.
- Support business development through strategic negotiations and bid reviews.
- Serve as the executive escalation point for key clients.
5. Project Commercials & Contracts:
- Oversee project commercial management, tender reviews, and contract negotiations.
- Ensure effective risk identification and mitigation.
6. Leadership & Organizational Development:
- Lead and mentor senior leadership across Operations, Projects, Finance, and HR.
- Build a culture of ownership, innovation, and operational excellence.
7. Operational Governance & Compliance:
- Establish robust governance frameworks and ensure compliance with statutory and safety standards.
8. Performance Management & Reporting:
- Departments such as projects, finance, supply chain, and HR will report into this role.
- The CEO will report directly to the Managing Director.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or related discipline; MBA/Postgraduate preferred.
Experience:
- 20-30 years of leadership experience in Landscape EPC, Infrastructure, Construction, or allied industries.
- Proven track record of owning P&L and managing multi-location operations.
Success Metrics (First 12 Months):
- Improve project delivery performance and profitability.
- Strengthen client retention and build a scalable operational structure.
- Develop a high-performing leadership team.
