Job Title: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) IT Services & Consulting
Location: JP Nagar, Bengaluru
Reporting: To Chairman & Promoter
Company Overview:
Founded in 2002, the company is a growing IT services and consulting firm with annual revenues of around 10 Cr and healthy profitability. It serves clients in India, the US, and the UK across utilities, embedded systems, enterprise development, etc.
Core offerings include:
- Enterprise business solutions
- Custom software and mobile application development
- IT Staffing Services
- Technology consulting and IT outsourcing
Role Summary:
- The CEO will be responsible for the overall strategic direction, growth, and profitability of the company, with full P&L ownership.
- This role will focus on scaling revenue (especially IT staffing and app development), strengthening tech-sales capability, and building a high-performing in-house leadership team while maintaining strong client relationships.
- The ideal candidate will bring a strong, active network of decision-makers in India, and is expected to leverage these relationships to rapidly acquire new clients and double (2x) revenues within the first 12 months, rather than building the pipeline from scratch.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategy, Growth and P&L:
- Define and execute a 3-5 year growth strategy aligned with the Board's vision.
- Drive revenue and margin expansion across app development, project maintenance, and IT staffing, with a clear focus on scaling the staffing business and higher-value projects.
- Own the company P&L, including annual operating plans, budgets, and financial performance.
- Identify new markets, service lines (including AI-led/custom development) and partnership opportunities to accelerate growth.
2. Sales, Business Development and Client Management:
- Personally leverage an existing network of CXO level and senior technology buyers to originate, pitch, and close high-value deals, with a clear mandate to achieve ~2x revenue growth in Year 1.
- Build and lead a strong tech-sales and business development engine, including setting up internal capabilities for solution selling and account management.
- Deepen relationships with existing key accounts (including global clients) and drive cross-sell/upsell across service lines.
- Open new enterprise accounts by activating existing relationships and expanding into adjacent accounts, with a strong focus on IT staffing and managed services.
3. Operations, Delivery and Service Quality:
- Oversee end-to-end delivery across in-house teams and outsourced resources to ensure quality, timeliness, and profitability of engagements.
- Establish scalable processes, governance, and reporting across projects, operations, and support functions.
- Drive continuous improvement in delivery, utilization, and cost efficiency.
4. Leadership, Organisation Building and Culture:
- Build and mentor a strong leadership team across sales, delivery, staffing, and operations; identify and fill critical leadership gaps in Year 1.
- Create a performance-driven, collaborative culture that attracts and retains high-calibre tech and sales talent.
- Set clear goals, KPIs, and review mechanisms for teams and functions.
5. Governance, Stakeholder and Board Management:
- Work closely with the Chairman and Board, providing clear and timely updates on strategy, performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Ensure legal, regulatory, and ethical compliance across geographies and business lines.
- Represent the company with key clients, partners, and external stakeholders as the primary brand ambassador.
Candidate Profile:
Experience:
- Total experience of around 15-20 years in technology/IT services companies, including significant exposure to IT services, consulting, or IT staffing businesses.
- Demonstrated track record of owning P&L and scaling revenue and profitability in a growth-stage organisation.
- Preferable if experienced in international markets and in managing global clients.
- Prior experience in building and leading sales/BD teams for services and staffing will be a strong advantage.
- Well-established network of client and partner relationships in utilities, embedded, or enterprise technology segments, with a demonstrable track record of converting these relationships into sizeable, recurring revenue; this is not a first-time builder role.
Skills and Attributes:
- Proven rainmaker who can open doors and close deals quickly by using existing relationships, rather than relying solely on inbound leads or long brand-building cycles.
- Strong strategic thinking and execution orientation; ability to move from plan to action quickly.
- Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams and develop future leaders.
- Excellent client relationship, networking, and deal-making skills, with an existing network in technology/enterprise clients.
- High ownership, entrepreneurial mindset, and comfort working closely with a promoter-led Board.
- Strong financial acumen and comfort with metrics, dashboards, and performance reviews.
