About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead an established insurance broking organization as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with one of our clients in Mumbai.
The ideal candidate will provide strategic direction, drive business growth and profitability, and ensure operational excellence across all business verticalsRetail, Corporate, Specialty, Reinsurance, and Digital.
This role requires a seasoned leader with a strong track record in managing large-scale broking operations, client relationships, and regulatory compliance while fostering innovation and a high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute a long-term growth roadmap aligned with the companys vision.
- Lead expansion into new markets, segments, and digital platforms.
- Drive transformation through technology, analytics, and automation.
- Ensure adherence to IRDAI regulations and high standards of corporate governance.
Business Development & Sales
- Build and lead a performance-driven sales organization.
- Drive client acquisition and retention across corporate, SME, and retail segments.
- Establish alliances with insurers, reinsurers, and global partners.
- Formulate client engagement and pricing strategies to enhance market share.
Financial & P&L Management
- Take complete ownership of P&L, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.
- Implement strong financial controls, budgeting, and working capital efficiency.
Underwriting & Placement Oversight
- Guide teams on risk placement, underwriting, and insurer negotiations.
- Oversee complex risk portfolios across Property, Liability, Marine, Employee Benefits, and Specialty lines.
Claims Management
- Ensure superior client satisfaction through proactive claims advisory and settlement management.
- Build strong insurer relationships to facilitate efficient claims resolution.
Operational Excellence & Governance
- Streamline processes and promote a culture of compliance, documentation, and audit-readiness.
- Drive adoption of digital tools, CRM systems, and analytics-led decision-making.
People Leadership
- Build, mentor, and retain strong functional leadership teams.
- Foster a culture of ethics, performance, and client focus.
External Representation
- Represent the organization with IRDAI, insurers, reinsurers, and industry bodies.
- Enhance visibility through thought leadership and industry engagement.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Business, Finance, or Insurance (MBA, CA preferred).
- Fellowship of Insurance Institute of India or equivalent (CII/CPCU) preferred.
- 20+ years of experience in Insurance Broking / Risk Advisory, with at least 58 years in a senior leadership or P&L role.
- Proven success in scaling multi-line broking operations.
- Strong industry relationships with insurers, reinsurers, and corporate clients.
