Role Mandate:
- Barflex Polyfilms has completed its capex cycle, with expanded manufacturing capacity already in place. The CEO's mandate is now clear and time-bound:
- Aggressively drive revenue scale-up (3x in 24-36 months) by selling available capacity, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring profitable growth in a listed-company environment.
- This is a "scale & monetise" CEO role, not a turnaround or greenfield setup.
Key Responsibilities
1. Revenue Scale-Up & Market Expansion (Highest Priority)
- Deliver 3x topline growth within 2-3 years by fully monetising installed capacity
- Deepen business with existing customers across FMCG, edible oil, snacks, and pharma
- Win large, long-term contracts with anchor customers to stabilise capacity utilisation
- Expand customer portfolio and reduce revenue concentration risk
2. Sales Leadership & Customer Engagement
- Personally own relationships with CXOs and procurement heads of marquee clients
- Drive structured pricing, long-term contracts, and volume commitments
- Strengthen sales organisation, demand forecasting, and CRM discipline
- Ensure high visibility and predictability of order book
3. Manufacturing & Operational Excellence
- Ensure smooth ramp-up and sustained high capacity utilisation across plants
- Drive continuous improvement in yield, waste reduction, and unit economics
- Strengthen QA, compliance, and audit readiness, especially for pharma customers
- Ensure cost competitiveness while scaling volumes
4. Profitability & Financial Discipline
- Own full P&L responsibility
- Drive EBITDA expansion alongside revenue growth
- Tight control of working capital, credit cycles, and inventory
- Align growth decisions to ROCE and shareholder value creation
5. Governance, IPO & Stakeholder Management
- Operate as a listed-company CEO with strong governance standards
- Work closely with promoters, Board, investors, lenders, and auditors
- Strengthen MIS, performance reviews, and decision frameworks
- Act as the face of the organisation for investors and external stakeholders
6. Organisation & Leadership Building
- Build a strong execution-driven leadership team across sales, operations, and finance
- Introduce performance-linked metrics and accountability
- Balance professionalisation with founder/promoter alignment
Candidate Profile
Education:
- MBA / PGDM from a premium Indian institute (IIMs, XLRI, ISB, SPJIMR, FMS, IITs, JBIMS, etc.)
- Engineering background preferred but not mandatory
Compensation Structure
- Fixed Compensation: ~- 50 LPA
- Variable / Performance Pay: Linked to revenue, EBITDA, and cash flow targets
Profit-Sharing / Long-Term Incentive:
- Profit-linked bonus or incentive pool aligned to 3x growth outcome
-Potential ESOPs or wealth-creation mechanism (This role is ideal for a leader willing to trade capped salary for uncapped upside.)
Success Metrics (24-36 Months):
- Revenue growth from ~- 100 Cr to ~- 300 Cr
- Sustained high capacity utilisation across plants
