Job Overview:
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will lead the organization with a clear vision to position the company as a market leader in the fire safety and firefighting solutions industry. The CEO will be responsible for driving business growth, enhancing market share, achieving revenue of 500 crores within 3 years, and building a sustainable, innovation-led, and customer-centric organisation.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Sales and Marketing:
- Set targets and create a road map to achieve the targets within one month of joining
- Define delegation of authority of HODs and key employees
- Restructure the sales team and its organisation structure
- Create strong marketing collaterals
- Ensure sales staff are fully trained and equipped to achieve the targets
- Implement an effective monitoring mechanism to oversee the activities of sales staff
- Generate sales from PSUs, Private companies, Indian MNCs, Exports to Middle East and other countries.
- Overall create a strong foundation to achieve the target of 200 crores to 500 crores in 1 to 3 years
2. Operations:
- Completely manage the execution of all orders till billing and full collection of all recoveries like invoices, security deposits, EMD etc.
- Execute the projects below the estimated costs and within the timelines
- Ensure zero liquidated damages
- Ensure the overall estimated project profitability is achieved
- Validate the timeline and key costs for high-value offers
- Be a strong bridge between various departments within and ensure a smooth flow of information between teams and timely execution of all projects
- Study the current system of execution and improve them
- Constitute a forum to discuss the status of key projects, identify bottlenecks and take necessary action
3. Research and Development:
- Responsible for leading R&D initiatives of the company through new product development and re-designing existing products.
- Identify and develop new products (2 to 4 per year) in consultation with the management.
- Re-designing existing products to reduce cost/improve efficiency.
- Hold a thorough knowledge and understanding of similar products, including all competitors- products, from the standpoint of cost, efficiency, market potential and market price.
4. General:
- Set the vision and mission of client with objectives for each department
- Define targets and metrics for each department and staff which will help the company reach its objectives
- Create a professional and performance-oriented culture in the organisation
A. KPIs:
- Sales of 200 to 500 crores by Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 respectively
- Gross Margin @ 25%
- EBIDTA @15%
Skills and Experience:
- Qualification - B.E. with MBA
- Relevant Experience - Minimum 15 years of experience in Fire industry of which 5 years as CEO of company whose turnover is more than Rs.200 crores. Candidate should have a proven track record scaling business 2 to 3x in his CEO stint
- Soft Skills - entrepreneurial mindset, exceptional stakeholder management, strong sales and business development skills, and influential leadership personality
- Location - Mumbai but will entail travel to other places frequently
