Role Overview

The CEO will lead the transformation of a legacy storytelling and content brand into a modern, digital-first, transmedia business. The role requires a strong storyteller who also understands how to build and scale a profitable, technology-driven content ecosystem.

The CEO will be responsible for reimagining content, modernizing formats, expanding digital platforms, and diversifying revenue streams beyond traditional print or legacy channels.

Key Responsibilities

1. Content & IP Strategy

- Develop and execute a long-term strategy to build and scale character-led intellectual properties (IP).

- Identify high-potential existing characters and create new ones to drive engagement and monetization.

- Build diversified revenue streams including licensing, merchandising, digital content, and interactive experiences.

- Shift the business from one-time consumption to continuous, year-round engagement.

2. Digital & Technology Leadership

- Lead the development of high-performing digital platforms such as apps and interactive content ecosystems.

- Leverage data, analytics, and consumer insights to drive personalization and community building.

- Explore the use of AI and modern technologies to enhance content creation, animation, and localization while maintaining creative quality.

3. Growth & Partnerships

- Expand reach across diverse Indian markets through localized storytelling and format innovation.

- Build strategic partnerships with media, entertainment, consumer goods, and lifestyle companies.

- Evolve the brand into a broader lifestyle and cultural platform across physical and digital touchpoints.

4. Business & Financial Leadership

- Run the organization as a high-growth, profitable business.

- Balance investments in new digital initiatives with stable revenue from existing channels.

- Build and lead a future-ready organization structure aligned with long-term growth goals.

Ideal Candidate Profile

- 1215+ years of experience across media, entertainment, digital content, OTT, gaming, or related fields.

- Strong understanding of storytelling and content creation, especially for digital-native audiences.

- Proven ability to scale businesses using performance marketing, technology, and community-led growth.

- Deep understanding of Indian culture and mythology, combined with a modern, global outlook.

- Strategic thinker with strong leadership and execution capabilities.
