Our client is a premium wellness and beauty brand offering a curated blend of spa, salon, and dermatology-led services, built on a foundation of high-touch customer experience and clinical rigor. Our client currently operates 3 stores in Mumbai in upmarket western and southern Mumbai.
With an established presence in Mumbai for a decade, our client has built strong brand equity in the luxury wellness segment, combining indulgent and rejuvenating experiences with outcome-driven treatments.
The company is now entering its next phase of growth-scaling through a franchising-led model across multiple formats, with the ambition to build a national network of 100-150 stores in the next 6 years.
Scope of the role:
- Custodian of the company's franchising business across partners, formats and ecosystem
- Full ownership of network expansion, partner lifecycle, and P&L performance
- Design and execution of a multi- format franchise model
- Accountability for store-level profitability, brand consistency, and clinical governance
Key Responsibilities:
Franchise Strategy & Network Design
- Define and continuously refine the multi-format expansion strategy across flagship, spa-only, beauty (spa + salon), and skin (spa + dermatology) stores
- Identify high-potential city clusters, catchments, and rollout sequencing
Franchise Partner Acquisition & Lifecycle
- Lead sourcing, evaluation and onboarding of high- calibre franchise partners
- Personally anchor key deal closures and strategic relationships
- Define and enforce partner success metrics and governance mechanisms
Unit Economics & Financial Ownership
- Own and continuously refine format-wise financial models, including:
- CAPEX models (by format)
- Franchise ROI and payback periods
Brand, Experience & Clinical Governance
- Ensure uniform brand experience and service quality across all locations
- Establish strong clinical governance frameworks, especially for dermatology offerings
- Build mechanisms for continuous audit and quality assurance
- Operating Model & Franchise Support Infrastructure
Build central franchising capabilities across:
- Training & academy
- Franchise operations
- Quality audits
- Launch Excellence
Board & Founder Partnership
- Translate founder's vision into structured, executable growth plans
- Set and track quarterly & annual OKRs, across expansion and profitability
- Provide data-driven insights on growth, capital allocation, and format strategy
- Act as a strategic thought partner to the founder and leadership
Experience:
- 12-18 years of experience, with deep exposure to franchising or multi- unit scaling
- Proven track record of scaling 20+ to 50+ locations in consumer-facing businesses (hospitality, healthcare, wellness, QSR, fitness, salons, clinics)
Prior experience as:
- CEO/Business Head / COO of a franchised or multi- location business
- Founder/Senior Leader who has scaled a brand with strong operating discipline
- Strong commercial acumen and unit- economics intuition
- Women candidates preferred
