Chief Executive Officer - BFSI

About:

- A national-level Sector Skill Council within the government's skill ecosystem is seeking a dynamic and visionary CEO to lead its mandate of strengthening India's Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI) workforce.

- The ideal leader will bring deep BFSI expertise, proven organisational leadership, and the ability to drive large-scale initiatives that shape the future of skill development in India.

- The CEO will be responsible for driving the organisation's strategic direction, ensuring alignment with national skilling priorities and the evolving needs of the BFSI industry.

- This includes overseeing the development of National Occupational Standards (NOS), designing sector-relevant skilling frameworks, and spearheading industry collaborations that enhance employability and workforce readiness.

- The role requires strong relationship-building with key stakeholders, including government departments, regulators, BFSI institutions, training partners, and academia.

- The CEO will lead industry engagement initiatives, advocate for policy reforms, and represent the organisation at national and international platforms. Additionally, the leader will be accountable for financial planning, resource optimisation, and ensuring long-term sustainability.

- The ideal candidate will have 18-20+ years of senior leadership experience in the BFSI sector with a strong track record in managing national portfolios, engaging with regulatory bodies, and leading large teams.

- Preference will be given to candidates with 5+ years of exposure to skilling, capacity building, L&D, or HR leadership. Strong strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities are essential.

- Educational qualifications include CA/ICWA/CFA, or a Master's degree in Commerce, Economics, Public Policy, Banking & Insurance, HR, or an MBA/PGDM from a reputed institution.

- Experience leading a non-profit organisation, sector council, BFSI organisation, or a GCC at a CXO level will be an added advantage.
