The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is the highest-ranking executive of the bank and is accountable to the Board of Directors for the overall strategic direction, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and cultural integrity of the institution. The CEO provides visionary leadership to drive sustainable growth, deliver superior value to shareholders and customers, and ensure the bank maintains its competitive standing in an evolving financial landscape.
Educational Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field required.
2. Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or ACA are an added advantage.
Professional Experience
1. Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in cooperative banking or financial services, with demonstrated exposure to cooperative banking operations and governance.
2. Prior experience in a senior managerial or leadership role within a cooperative bank, Urban Cooperative Bank (UCB), or District Central Cooperative Bank (DCCB).
3. Hands-on experience in cooperative credit, member management, and community-based financial service delivery.
4. Proven experience in dealing with RBI, NABARD, State Cooperative Registrar, and other applicable regulatory and supervisory bodies.
5. Experience working with elected Boards and managing the democratic governance structures unique to the cooperative sector is essential.
