Job Description: Chief Executive Officer

Role Overview:

The company seeks a visionary, results-driven Chief Executive Officer to lead the company through a transformative period following its acquisition by Sub-Divisional Officer. The CEO will be responsible for delivering on ambitious revenue and profitability targets, ensuring seamless transition of ownership, and driving strategic growth in India and internationally. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in the standards industry, proven leadership in multinational environments, and a track record of building high-performing teams.

Key Objectives & Responsibilities:

Financial Performance:

- Achieve all revenue and profitability targets as outlined in the latest valuation report and business plan.

- Develop and execute strategies to drive sustainable growth and margin improvement.

- Monitor financial performance, proactively address variances, and report regularly to the Board.

SDO & Client Retention:

- Retain all, or a very high percentage of existing Standard Development Organizations (SDOs) and clients throughout the ownership transition.

- Build and nurture relationships with key SDOs and clients, ensuring continuity and satisfaction.

- Develop and implement client retention programs and risk mitigation strategies.

Talent Management & Organizational Stability:

- Retain all key staff and ensure no disruption to operations due to staffing changes.

- Conduct a comprehensive evaluation of all staff; identify upskilling and development needs.

- Implement talent development, succession planning, and recruitment strategies to upgrade organizational capabilities.

- Create SOPs across function areas and assist the team to implement them

- Maintain clear communication and manage expectations of multiple stakeholders including the SDOs, B2B clients and the acquirer

Leadership Transition:

- Engage the former CEO as an advisor / KMP for a minimum of three years.

- Ensure effective transfer of all critical relationships, institutional knowledge, and strategic contacts.

- Establish clear transition plans and regular check-ins to maximize continuity.

- Establishing a strategic plan, goal, and direction in line with the strategic plan of the entire international business unit and the Group

Strategic Growth & Market Leadership:

- Dominate the Indian market and defend territory against new entrants.

- Drive global expansion, with targeted growth in ASEAN, the Middle East, and LATAM.

- Lead the restructuring the company into multiple global legal entities to spur regional growth.

- Ramp up technology investments to achieve parity with the top two resellers in the ecosystem.

- Deliver unparalleled customer insights and telemetry to SDOs, leveraging advanced analytics and digital platforms.

- Capture significant market share from top competitors and grow the global base of SDOs and clients.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

- Achievement of revenue and EBITDA targets.

- Retention rates for SDOs, clients, and key staff.

- Successful completion of ownership transition milestones.

- Progress on strategic initiatives: market share growth, technology upgrades, global entity formation.

- Stakeholder satisfaction (Board, SDOs, clients, staff).

Candidate Profile:

- Oversee and understand the entire complex organizational structure with all its interdependencies and interactions.

- Financial and Business Acumen - Must have business acumen.

- Networking - Should have very good market relations, should be well known and respected in the industry.

- Engineering background with significant experience in the standards industry is a plus, however not a must.

- Demonstrated leadership in multinational, commercial environments; experience beyond India strongly preferred.

- Proven track record in driving revenue growth and profitability, ideally in B2B sales.

- Deep understanding of intellectual property and emerging technologies.

- Experience managing through M&A transitions (preferred).

- Exceptional relationship management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

- Strong analytical, strategic planning, and execution capabilities.

- High integrity, resilience, and adaptability.
