Role:
The Person will be responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing company's employee safety at work.
He/She will be ensuring that the company complies and adheres to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines to reduce work-related injuries.
This role is responsible for ensuring 100% compliance with applicable laws and regulatory frameworks, minimizing safety risks, promoting a culture of zero harm and steering the organization's long-term sustainability goals aligned with global standards.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor regulatory requirements and ensure timely adherence.
- Provide guidance to plants on new and evolving legal norms.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety training, and incident reviews.
- Lead safety committees and employee engagement on safety.
- Promote initiatives on energy conservation, waste management, and emission control.
- Track and report environmental KPIs.
- Integrate sustainability into site operations. Assists as necessary in implementation of a hazard communication program and preparation of reports.
- Develop and standardize EHS policies, SOPs, and documentation.
- Support digital tracking of compliance and EHS KPIs.
- Maintain end-to-end statutory documentation for environmental clearances, licenses, and consent renewals in a centralized and audit-ready format.
- Engage with external stakeholders and Industrial bodies - for approvals, renewals, and issue resolutions.
