The Chief Data Scientist (Technical) is a leadership role that will interface with business, product managers, data scientists and engineers in bringing together and executing on this AI transformation. This role will lead the Data Science team compromising of data scientists, machine learning engineers and operations research scientists. In this role, you will have complete ownership of the data science roadmap. You will set the AI strategy for the company by guiding business and product teams in product prioritization and AI transformation. You will raise the functional bar for the team, bringing industry best practices and advanced ML techniques to the team. You will hire, guide and coach your team, and scale the Data Science organization to keep pace with fast growth. Job Responsibilities : - An ideal candidate should have strong depth and breadth of knowledge in different areas of machine learning, data analytics, as well as reasonable programming skills. - Strong fundamentals in machine learning, and or Natural Language Processing, General statistics and Data Science principles. - Analysis of relevant data across all business domains and generating meaningful and actionable insights - Analyse and drive cost optimization, conversion improvement, channel effectiveness, pricing management, sales management, business profitability, customer cohort management, etc. - Responsible for reporting all key business metrics to stakeholders and ensuring adherence to business plans - Perform complicated data modelling and analysis as per business requirements - Design implement and drive adoption of new analytic technologies and solutions. Skills Required : - Should have experience hiring and managing top Data Scientists (PhD / Masters) - Should have experience managing a broad portfolio of ML based projects / products - Should have hands-on experience in ML model development for big-data problems - Complex data modelling and data mining skills with excellent analytical, problem-solving, presentation and communication skills. - Knowledge of a statistical programming language, like R or Python, and a database querying language like SQL (preferred) - Influential and proven leadership with the ability to partner, inspire, and build consensus - Experience in highly distributed complex business and technology environments and emerging technologies - Highly passionate and motivated individual willing to work in an independent high-growth environment Educational/Professional Qualification : - PhD in Computer Science or Mathematics / Statistics / Applied Mathematics / Operations Research, or a related field with 15+ yrs experience
