Position - Chief Corporate Affairs Officer

Reporting: Managing Directors

Key Responsibilities:

- Orchestrate Government relations across state and central Ministries, Securing mining renewals and Industrial incentives.

- Lead CSR initiatives tailored to local needs, investing in skill development for mine-adjacent communities and Agro value chains.

- Manage crisis communications, from plant incidents to policy disputes.

- Oversee legal compliance in Land Acquisition, Environmental Audits, and Labor relations across 3500+ workforce.

- Drive public affairs campaigns to position the group as a sustainability pioneer in steel and alumina sectors.

- Coordinate inter-regulatory advocacy, aligning with CII and FICCI on Mines & Minerals (Development & Regulation) Act reforms.

Operational Responsibilities:

- Execute daily interface with district collectors and pollution control boards, ensuring 100% EIA compliances for steel plants and mines.

- Manage CSR project delivery, monitoring - 50 Crore+ annual spends on health clinics, schools, and farmer cooperatives near operations.

- Oversee PR operations, including media monitoring for 500+ dealer network endorsements and quarterly town halls.

- Coordinate security protocols for high-value assets like bauxite mines and TMT rolling mills amid regional sensitivities.

- Implement grievance redressal mechanisms, resolving 95% community issues within 30 days via digital portals.

- Audit operational licenses quarterly, from factory acts to forest clearances for backward integration logistics.

Qualification & Experience:

- Postgraduate Degree (LLM, MBA, or Public Policy) from top-tier institutions (NLSIU, IIMs, TISS, or equivalent), with Legal/ Regulatory focus.

- 15-20 years in Corporate affairs, Government relations, or public policy within heavy industries (Mining, Steel, Energy), including 8+ years at C-suite level in - 2000+ Crore enterprises.

- Hands-on experience in Central/ Eastern India, particularly Chhattisgarh mining regulations, land deals, and industrial clearances.

- Track record managing high-stakes stakeholder engagements, crisis resolutions, and CSR at scale.
