Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Collections Officer to lead our client's collections department based in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the strategies and operations of the collections team, ensuring outstanding performance, compliance, and reduction in delinquencies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement collection strategies to maximize recovery rates and minimize delinquency across all portfolios.

- Lead, manage, and inspire a team of collections professionals, providing guidance and support to optimize performance.

- Monitor and analyze collection efficiency metrics and trends to recommend enhancements and drive process improvements.

- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and implement policies to uphold company standards for collections practices.

- Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to facilitate effective debt recovery.

- Review and assess the performance of third-party collection agencies, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

- Prepare detailed reports for senior management outlining collections performance, challenges, and proposed actions.

- Stay abreast of industry best practices and regulatory changes to inform compliance and operational strategies.

Candidate Details - Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree is preferred.

- Professional certification in collections or credit management is highly advantageous.

- Minimum of 18 years of experience in collections management or a related field.

- Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing high-performing teams.

- Extensive knowledge of collections processes, strategies, and regulations in the finance sector.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
