Chief Business Officer (CBO) Job Title : Techno-Commercial Chief Business Officer (CBO) Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra Job Summary Looking at a dynamic and experienced Techno-Commercial CBO to lead its Mumbai operations. This individual will be responsible for driving business growth across residential, plotted, and redevelopment verticals. The ideal candidate will combine technical acumen in real estate development with strategic commercial insight to spearhead business initiatives in one of India's fastest-growing real estate markets. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Business Leadership: - Define and drive the long-term business strategy in MMR. - Evaluate potential land parcels, joint development opportunities, and redevelopment projects in Mumbai's suburbs. - Establish and execute go-to-market strategies for township and plotted developments. Techno-Commercial Oversight: - Lead technical feasibility, design evaluation, and costing for projects in collaboration with the design, engineering, and procurement teams. - Optimize construction timelines and budgets through strategic vendor selection and cost control. - Ensure alignment of product design with market demand and pricing strategy. Project Development & Management: - Monitor end-to-end project lifecycle from land acquisition, approvals, development, marketing, to final delivery. - Coordinate with local consultants, architects, legal experts, and liaison teams for timely approvals (RERA, environment, municipal, etc.). - Identify and mitigate risks throughout the development process. P&L Ownership: - Own the P&L for Mumbai-based operations. - Drive sales and revenue targets through coordination with marketing and sales teams. - Ensure profitability across projects through efficient cost management and value engineering. Stakeholder Management: - Liaise with JV partners, landowners, government authorities, and financial institutions. - Lead investor and board presentations regarding Mumbai growth strategy and financials. Requirements: Education: B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Architecture; MBA in Finance/Marketing/Strategy preferred. Experience: - 15-20 years of experience in real estate development, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership techno-commercial role. - Strong exposure to Mumbai real estate market including township and redevelopment models. - Proven track record of executing large-scale residential or plotted development projects. Skills: - Strong technical knowledge of project development and costing. - Business acumen with understanding of real estate market dynamics. - Excellent negotiation, leadership, and decision-making skills. - Deep network in the Mumbai real estate ecosystem (IPC, consultants, landowners, architects, etc.).
