Role Overview
The Chief Business Officer (CBO) will drive Maven Silicons growth strategy, leading business development, partnerships, and revenue diversification across B2C, corporate training, academia, global alliances, and online learning verticals.
You will play a pivotal role in scaling our programs (like Executive MTechs, Advanced Certifications, and AI-driven learning solutions), expanding market presence, and fostering strategic collaborations with industry leaders, universities, and government bodies.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Define and execute the companys business growth strategy in alignment with Maven Silicons mission.
- Develop business models for new verticals (AI in Education, Semiconductor Workforce Development, Global Academic Partnerships).
- Drive P&L accountability, business forecasting, and growth metrics across divisions.
Partnerships & Alliances:
- Forge and manage strategic collaborations with universities, corporates, OEMs (like Siemens, Intel, Cadence), and government agencies (e.g., NSDC, MeitY).
- Build strategic tie-ups for global expansion in Semiconductor and EdTech markets.
- Represent Maven Silicon at national and international forums and industry events.
Revenue Growth & Business Development:
- Lead B2B and B2C revenue streams: corporate training, academic programs, certification courses, and online learning.
- Design scalable partnership models for co-branded programs and executive education.
- Identify and monetise new business opportunities within India and global markets.
Marketing & Brand Expansion:
- Work with the Marketing team to strengthen Maven Silicons position as the global semiconductor education leader.
- Oversee digital marketing, brand strategy, and thought-leadership initiatives.
Operations & Team Leadership:
- Build, lead, and mentor cross-functional teams for sales, partnerships, and program execution.
- Establish robust operational systems and KPIs to track and scale performance.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: 15+ years in EdTech, Semiconductor, or Technology industries, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Education: Engineering background preferred (ECE, EE, CS) with an MBA or Executive degree in Strategy/Marketing/General Management.
- Proven experience in business scaling, partnerships, and revenue leadership.
- Strong industry network academia, corporates, and government ecosystem.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work in a fast-evolving environment.
