The Chief Business Officer will be responsible for owning and scaling the overall revenue engine, driving both content-led monetization and commerce-led growth. This role requires a leader who can seamlessly operate across media, content, and transactional businesses, while building new verticals from scratch.
Key Responsibilities
- Own P&L and revenue growth across core and emerging business lines
- Build and scale 0- 1 and 1- 10 businesses, including new monetization avenues
- Drive integrated strategy across content, media sales, partnerships, and commerce
- Lead GTM, growth, and monetization strategy across digital channels
- Identify and build new revenue streams (advertising, subscriptions, marketplaces, partnerships)
- Work closely with product and content teams to drive user engagement - revenue conversion
- Build and lead high-performing cross-functional teams across sales, marketing, and partnerships
- Establish strong data-driven decision-making and performance frameworks
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 15+ years of experience in high-growth digital businesses
- Strong pedigree (Tier 1 institutes and/or leading consumer tech/media companies)
- Experience across media, content, and/or e-commerce ecosystems
- Proven track record of building and scaling businesses (0- 1 and 1- 10)
- Strong exposure to revenue ownership, monetization, and GTM strategy
- Background in marketing, growth, or business leadership roles preferred
- Demonstrated ability to operate in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments
