Role Description
Responsible for driving overall business growth, revenue expansion, client acquisition, and market penetration for the broking business. The role involves strategic leadership across sales, distribution, partnerships, and product positioning while ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational objectives.
Job Responsibilities
Strategic & Business Growth
- Define and execute the overall business strategy for the broking operations across equity, derivatives, commodities, currency, and other permitted products.
- Identify new growth opportunities, market segments, and revenue streams.
- Drive profitability through effective pricing, cost optimization, and scale efficiencies.
Sales & Distribution
- Lead and manage sales, dealer, relationship management, and distribution teams.
- Develop and expand retail, HNI, and institutional client bases.
- Strengthen channel partnerships including sub-brokers, authorized persons, and digital platforms.
Client & Market Management
- Enhance client experience, engagement, and retention strategies.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to refine offerings.
- Represent the organization with key clients, partners, exchanges, and industry forums.
Product & Business Development
- Collaborate with product, technology, and operations teams to design competitive broking and trading solutions.
- Drive adoption of digital trading platforms and technology-led initiatives.
- Oversee launch of new products and services in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure business operations adhere to regulatory requirements of SEBI, exchanges, and other applicable authorities.
- Work closely with Risk, Compliance, and Operations teams to maintain strong governance standards.
- Support internal audits and regulatory inspections from a business perspective.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams across business verticals.
- Present business plans, performance reports, and strategic updates to the CEO, Board, and senior management.
- Align business goals with the organizations long-term vision and values.
Professional Background
Extensive experience in the broking and capital markets industry, with a strong track record of driving business growth, revenue expansion, and market penetration.
Proven expertise in sales, distribution, client acquisition, and strategic partnerships, along with sound understanding of trading products and regulatory frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to lead large teams, work cross-functionally, and deliver sustainable business outcomes while maintaining strong governance and compliance standards.
