Chief Accountant/Financial Controller/General Manager - Finance

Position Overview:

This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficiency. Being an individual contributor and team management both. This position involves managing the finance team, maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's growth and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Financial Management:

- Oversee all financial operations including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting and auditing.

- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial statements. - Manage cash flow, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure effective internal controls.

2) Compliance and Reporting: - Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.

- Ensure direct & indirect tax compliance, i.e. GST filings (GSTR 1, GSTR 3B, GSTR 9), ITR filing, TDS filings (26Q, 27Q), etc.

- Prepare and present timely and accurate financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.

- Coordinate and oversee tax audits, statutory audits and liaise with auditors.

3) Team Leadership:

- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Set clear goals and expectations for team members, providing regular feedback and performance evaluations.

- Promote a collaborative and inclusive team environment.

4) Strategic Planning:

- Contribute to the development of the company's strategic plans and initiatives.

- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes.

- Identify and mitigate financial risks.

5) Financial Analysis:

- Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess financial performance.

- Support business units with financial analysis and advice.

6) System and Process Improvement:

- Evaluate and enhance financial systems and processes to increase efficiency and accuracy. - Implement best practices in financial management and reporting.

Qualifications


- Bachelor's or masters from Commerce background

- CA Qualified

Experience:

- Minimum of 4-6 Years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.

- Proven experience in financial management, reporting and compliance.

- Experience in Logistics is an advantage.
