Chief Accountant (6-8 yrs)


Requirements:


- Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce (B.Com/M.Com), or qualified CA / ICWA.

- 4-8+ years of relevant accounting and financial management experience, preferably within EPC, construction, high-tech manufacturing, or Korean MNC subsidiaries.

- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in FDI procedures, FEMA guidelines, and RBI reporting requirements.

- Strong experience in preparing consolidated financial statements and reporting packages to foreign headquarters.

- Thorough understanding of Indian taxation (GST, TDS, Corporate Tax) and statutory compliance.

- Advanced MS Excel.

- Strong cross-cultural communication and coordination skills; experience working with Korean expatriates/headquarters is highly preferred.

- Working proficiency in English (both written and spoken).

Main Responsibilities:

- Manage general ledger accounting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and month-end/year-end closing activities.

- Handle Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) inflows/outflows, RBI compliances (FC-GPR, FC-TRS, FLA returns), and liaison with Authorized Dealer (AD) banks.

- Manage local financial reporting and intercompany balances/transactions for group consolidation, aligning with regional entities in Singapore and HQ in Korea (Ind AS / K-IFRS).

- Oversee statutory compliance, including timely filing of GST returns, TDS/TCS, advance tax, and corporate income tax.

- Manage cash flow forecasting, fund planning, project budget tracking, and working capital management for local engineering/construction projects.

- Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and tax consultants for annual audits and assessments.

- Support vendor payments, LC/BG issuances, EPC contract accounting, and project billing verifications.

- Maintain accurate fixed asset registers, project cost accounting, and inventory valuation records.

- Ensure adherence to local regulatory frameworks, FEMA guidelines, transfer pricing regulations, and company financial policies.

- Support management and HQ with ad-hoc financial analysis, variance reports, and strategic decision-making data.
