Finance @ CheQ The role will lead our finance team and play a crucial role in ensuring the long-term financial security of our organization. As a key member of the executive management team, you will be responsible for analyzing department finances and driving a robust process for financial planning and forecasting, including annual operating plans. What you'll be doing We are much more than our job descriptions, but here is where you will begin: - Formulate and drive business plans/strategies to operationalize the yearly plan and co-own the business P&L and KPIs along with the business teams. - Responsible for reporting on key financial metrics such as revenue, mix, margins, and working capital to measure business performance supported by review and analytical insights. - Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure the financial health and stability of the company. - Manage the budgeting and forecasting process and prepare regular financial reports for management and investors. Oversee the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and other regulatory filings. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive the growth and profitability of the company will be essential. Identify levers for revenue, mix, and margin improvement opportunities and establish pricing insights through return on investment/payback and decision drivers. - Analyze key business drivers regarding industry and competition and provide regular business risk assessment reports to the leadership team. - Build and maintain relationships with banks, investors, and other financial institutions. - Establish business intelligence reports and dashboards to streamline the financial and operations MIS across various categories/locations/initiatives. Additionally, they will partner with vendors and partners for terms of trade, pricing, visibility, listing, trade schemes, etc. - Identify and lead working capital improvement opportunities/plans/actions for the processes/automation and develop and implement processes commensurate with size, scale, complexity, and business needs. What you'll need: Like us, you'll be deeply committed to delivering impactful outcomes for customers. - CA/ CPA qualified accounting professional with a proven track record in an analytical or commercial role - 8+ years of overall experience in Finance - minimum 5 years of experience in business finance. Experience in a startup or high-growth company is an advantage. - Strong understanding of financial accounting, auditing, and P&L management. - Experience in developing and implementing financial policies and procedures. - Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to manage and motivate teams to achieve financial goals. - Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
