Chemco - Equity Analyst

About the Role:

We are seeking a sharp, equity-focused Equity Analyst to support managing of a multi-asset investment portfolio, with a core focus on listed equities and PMS/AIF strategies. This role involves deep equity research, portfolio tracking, and interfacing with top-tier fund managers. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in Indian equities, preferably with exposure to portfolio management services (PMS), alternative investment funds (AIFs), or wealth advisory platforms.

This is a strategic role suited for candidates looking to build a high-quality career in equity analysis and investment management within a family office or institutional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct detailed equity research on existing and prospective investments across listed space

- Track and analyze portfolio performance of PMS/AIF managers, including fund commentary, sector exposures, churn, and alpha generation

- Liaise with external fund managers to obtain timely updates, NAVs, factsheets, and investment rationale

- Prepare MIS, dashboards, and performance reports for internal reviews

- Benchmark equity performance vs indices (e.g., Nifty, BSE500) and peer PMS/AIF products

- Assist in evaluating new investment opportunities in listed and private equities

- Support documentation and compliance processes, including tracking drawdowns, IRRs, and mandates

- Work closely with the CFO on investment notes, equity theses, and board presentations

Desired Profile:

- CFA Level 2 (or higher), MBA (Finance from Tier-1/2 institute), or CA with strong equity focus

- 2+ years of experience in equity research, PMS/AIF investing, family office, or wealth advisory roles with direct exposure to listed markets

- Solid understanding of Indian equity markets, sector rotation, and valuation frameworks

- Strong communication and presentation abilities, especially in explaining investment theses

- Excellent Excel and modeling skills; Power BI/Tableau a plus

- High ownership mindset and integrity; comfort working in lean setups with senior leadership
