Cheil - General Manager - Retail Store Design

- You will be responsible for the ideation and creation of store environments in all retail channels.


- You will explore and conceptualize design options and solutions while working in partnership with the store roll-out team.

- You will create the design strategy, build & evaluate design options, based on the creative brief. Ability to communicate design ideas through sketches, renderings, using various programs.


- Focused on both design development and project management. Must be passionate about creating mood boards, specifying material and material research.

- Must be amenable to change and work with accelerated delivery timelines. You must possess excellent leadership qualities, with the ability to maximize the talents of the team

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Space design strategy creation and development

- Design communication with clients and partners

- Design trend and cast research and analyzing

- Execution and production planning and supervision based on the design result

- Conceptualizing and ideating new ideas while maintaining brand language

- Initiate conceptual designs and floor plans

- Creating renderings and models to convey design intent

- Develop CAD fixture and floor plans (schematic design and design drawings)

- Material research and mood board development for store concept

- Responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously

- Review and redline Architectural drawing sets and shop drawings for accuracy of design intent and execution

- Partner closely with interdepartmental teams ensure store experience is cohesive

- A Retail Design specialist, who has over the last 18+ years, created retail design solutions. Creative and management experience (required) with a reputed retail design agency or worked in the retail design function of a corporate.

- You should be a strategic thinker who understand brands, client's business and develop insights that solve design challenges. You are a team leader who understands team interaction, roles of team members and is good at managing clients. You have a Bachelors or Master's degree in Architecture or related fields.

Position Requirements:

- Bachelors or Master's degree with a design focus (B.Arch., M.Arch, etc)

- Knowledge in materials and finishes, fixture development, and architectural details

- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Photoshop are a must, Microsoft Office Applications, Sketch up and/or Rhino, 3DS Max and Key Shot is a plus

- Strong communication & presentation skills

- Previous experience with retail design is a preferred.

- Self-starter with strong leadership skills
