Role Summary
We are seeking a Marketing Data Analyst to transform marketing data into actionable insights that drive campaign effectiveness, audience targeting, and overall marketing ROI.
This role sits at the intersection of data analytics, marketing strategy, and business intelligence, helping marketing and growth teams make informed, data-backed decisions.
The ideal candidate is analytical, curious, and fluent in marketing metrics, digital platforms, attribution, and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Performance Analytics:
- Analyze campaign performance across paid, organic, social, email, SEO, and influencer channels.
- Track key KPIs such as CAC, ROAS, CTR, CVR, retention rates, LTV, funnel conversion, and attribution impact.
- Build dashboards and reports to present trends, insights, and ROI calculations.
Audience Insights & Segmentation:
- Study customer behaviour across touchpoints to identify patterns and opportunities.
- Build and maintain audience segments based on demographics, psychographics, channel behavior, and lifecycle stages.
- Support marketing in personalization, targeting, and re-targeting strategies.
Funnel and Journey Analytics:
- Map and analyze the full marketing funnel: impressions clicks leads conversions retention.
- Identify leakage points and propose optimization strategies.
- Perform cohort analysis, retention analysis, churn analysis, and customer lifecycle modelling.
Experimentation & Optimization:
- Design and analyze A/B tests across landing pages, creatives, audience segments, and channels.
- Provide statistical guidance on sample sizes, significance, and experiment validity.
- Recommend actions to improve campaign outcomes based on test results.
Attribution & Measurement:
- Work with multi-touch attribution frameworks to understand marketing impact.
- Support modelling for channel contribution, incrementality, and campaign overlap.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of new marketing channels and strategies.
Data Engineering & Reporting:
- Build automated dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Google Data Studio.
- Work closely with data engineering to create data pipelines and ensure clean, reliable datasets.
- Maintain data quality through validation, cleansing, and reconciliation.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with Performance Marketing, Growth, CRM, Product, and Finance teams.
- Translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
- Present findings to leadership and contribute to quarterly marketing planning.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Marketing Analyst, Growth Analyst, or Data Analyst.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of analytics tools:
- Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads, Mixpanel, Amplitude, HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, GDS).
- Comfort with Excel/Sheets for quick analysis and modelling.
- Understanding of marketing metrics, attribution models, and growth funnels.
- Strong statistical knowledge: A/B testing, significance testing, regression, and forecasting
