Chartered Accountant - NBFC/FinTech

Job Title: Chartered Accountant (Full time)

Location: Chennai

We are seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant to join our team and drive excellence across financial processes, internal controls, regulatory compliance, and internal audits.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive, with a strong understanding of corporate governance and risk management frameworks.

Ensure regulatory compliance while safeguarding business interests during compliance and audit processes.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to close audit matters efficiently.

- Lead efforts to address and resolve compliance-related issues impacting the business unit.

- Represent the business unit in the Operational Risk Committee, highlighting potential risks and mitigation plans.

- Ensure operational risk strategies align with business priorities

- Serve as the primary Point of Contact (POC) for all audit, operational risk, and regulatory compliance matters for the business unit.

- Work closely with compliance, audit teams, to advocate for and protect business interests.

- Works with the Business Team to design and implement controls that support business objectives.

- Develop frameworks to proactively manage regulatory and operational risks while enabling business growth.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5 - 7 years of relevant experience.

- Proven expertise in auditing NBFCs, Fintechs, or internal auditing of financial institutions.

- In-depth understanding of regulatory frameworks, operational risk, and compliance standards.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

- Proactive mindset with the ability to balance compliance requirements and business priorities
