Chartered Accountant - IT Audit

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive IT audits of financial information systems to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement.

- Evaluate the design and implementation of financial processes and systems to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

- Develop and execute audit plans, including risk assessments, testing procedures, and documentation of findings, to provide assurance over financial reporting.

- Identify and assess IT-related risks impacting financial data and systems, and recommend mitigation strategies to minimize potential losses.

- Collaborate with IT teams to implement and maintain security measures to protect financial data from unauthorized access and cyber threats.

- Prepare audit reports summarizing findings, recommendations, and management responses, and present them to senior management and audit committees.

- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and track progress to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.

- Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in IT audit, financial information systems, and regulatory compliance to continuously improve audit processes and methodologies.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough IT audits of financial information systems, including risk assessments, control evaluations, and testing procedures.

- Proven expertise in evaluating the design and implementation of financial processes and systems to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

- Strong understanding of IT security principles and practices, including data encryption, access controls, and vulnerability management.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and assess IT-related risks impacting financial data and systems. to - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with finance teams, IT departments, and external auditors.

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 6-8 years of relevant experience in IT audit and financial information systems.

- Adaptable to a dynamic work environment and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
