Our client is a top-tier global consulting firm renowned for delivering world-class advisory services to prominent players across industries. They are currently engaged in an internal audit project for a leading energy and utilities player in the UAE. They are seeking a highly skilled Chartered Accountant with proven experience in carrying out internal audits to join their dynamic team. Below Summarises the roles and responsibilities : - Plan and execute internal audit assignments in alignment with established methodologies and project objectives - Monitor engagements progress, manage risk, and verify that key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes constantly - Plan for test of controls & walkthroughs based on control frequency - Perform process & control walkthroughs to check design effectiveness in the process implemented - Review control processes with control owners - Engage in follow-ups & continuous monitoring to remediate the issues identified - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and insights for audit assessments - Prepare flowcharts for business processes - Communicate the results of assignments through written reports and oral presentations on a timely basis - Identify opportunities to improve business processes and assist clients in addressing compliance, financial, operational and strategic risk Experience Required: - A fully qualified chartered accountant with 5+ years of post-qualification experience - Prior experience carrying out internal audits is essential to this requirement - Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse team - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to interact effectively at all levels This is a contractual opportunity and will be on an initial 2-3 month contract. The selected professional will be deployed in UAE for the duration of the role.
