Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Chartered Accountant to join our finance team in Nigeria. In this role, you will serve as a cornerstone of our financial integrity, managing the full spectrum of accounting operations, regulatory compliance, and fiscal planning. You will work closely with senior leadership, external auditors, and cross-functional department heads to ensure that our financial data is accurate, transparent, and actionable. By maintaining rigorous financial controls and providing insightful analysis, you will directly influence our business growth, optimize tax efficiency, and support informed decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and finalize comprehensive financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local Nigerian accounting standards to provide stakeholders with a clear view of the company's fiscal health.

- Manage the end-to-end taxation process, including CIT, VAT, and WHT filings, to ensure full compliance with FIRS regulations and minimize tax exposure.

- Lead internal and external audit engagements by coordinating with auditors and resolving discrepancies to maintain high standards of financial governance.

- Develop and monitor annual budgets and rolling forecasts to help department heads manage their resources effectively and align spending with corporate objectives.

- Perform deep-dive variance analysis on monthly performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive operational efficiency across the business.

Required Skillset:

- Proven expertise in financial reporting and technical accounting, with a deep understanding of the Nigerian tax landscape and regulatory environment.

- Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders and executive management.

- Strong proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel modeling, enabling the automation of routine accounting tasks and the accuracy of financial projections.

- Exceptional interpersonal skills, allowing for seamless collaboration with diverse teams and the ability to manage professional relationships with external regulatory bodies.

- A recognized Chartered Accountant qualification (ICAN or equivalent) is essential, reflecting a high standard of professional competence and ethical rigor.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, on-site work environment, maintaining high levels of accuracy and meeting strict reporting deadlines under pressure.
