Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Chartered Accountant (CA) to take full ownership of financial operations, accounting governance, internal controls, and statutory compliance across our operations.
The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day transactional accounting, inventory control, working capital management, tax compliance, and payroll while providing strategic financial analysis to drive efficiency, profitability, and informed corporate decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Records Maintenance: Ensure accurate, complete, and timely recording of all daily financial transactions in accordance with IFRS and company guidelines.
- Operational Transaction Accounting: Drive proper accounting for Goods Received Notes (GRN), sales, purchases, purchase orders, payments, receipts, stock transfers, and landed costs.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable Management: Manage end-to-end creditors and debtors workflows, enforce credit limits, track debtor ageing schedules, and establish robust payment collection mechanisms.
- Payroll Administration: Oversee the accurate computation and timely disbursement of monthly staff payroll, ensuring proper deduction and remittance of statutory deductions.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree (B.Sc/ HND) in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- Professional Certification: Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAN, ACCA, ICAI, or equivalent) is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum 4-7 years of post-qualification experience in core accounting, financial control, and audit, ideally within the FMCG, manufacturing, packaging, or distribution sector.
- Regulatory Expertise: Deep knowledge of tax laws, IFRS accounting standards, and local statutory compliance requirements.
- Software & Systems: Hands-on proficiency with ERP platforms (e.g., Tally Prime, SAP, Oracle, Zoho Books, Quickbooks) and advanced MS Excel skills.
