About the Role:

The Chapter Lead Data Scientist is responsible for building and leading a high-performing team of data scientists while delivering scalable AI and Machine Learning solutions that drive business growth and operational excellence. This role combines technical leadership with people management, ensuring best practices in analytics, experimentation, model development, deployment, and continuous improvement. The Chapter Lead will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Business, and Technology teams to solve complex business challenges using data.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management:

- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Data Scientists across multiple projects.

- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement.

- Support hiring, onboarding, career development, and performance management.

- Build technical capabilities within the team through mentoring and knowledge sharing.

Data Science & AI Delivery:

- Design and develop Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence solutions for business problems.

- Build predictive, classification, recommendation, optimization, and forecasting models.

- Develop scalable data science solutions using modern cloud technologies.

- Ensure models are production-ready with monitoring and governance frameworks.

- Improve model accuracy, efficiency, and business impact through continuous optimization.

Business Partnership:

- Work closely with Product Managers, Business Leaders, and Engineering teams to identify data-driven opportunities.

- Translate business challenges into analytical solutions.

- Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

- Drive adoption of AI-powered decision-making across business functions.

Data Strategy:

- Define data science standards, methodologies, and best practices.

- Promote experimentation using A/B testing and statistical analysis.

- Ensure responsible AI principles, governance, privacy, and compliance.

- Support enterprise-wide data strategy initiatives.

Innovation:

- Evaluate emerging AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI technologies.

- Introduce new tools, frameworks, and methodologies.

- Promote automation and operational efficiency.

- Encourage experimentation and rapid prototyping.

- 10+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Advanced Analytics.

- 3+ years leading Data Science teams.

- Experience delivering enterprise-scale AI and ML solutions.

- Experience working with Agile product teams.
