Channel Head - NRI - Mutual Fund Company
Role Overview:
Lead the development and scaling of a differentiated NRI investor ecosystem across domestic, GIFT City, and offshore platforms (e.g., UCITS). Own end-to-end stakeholder engagement (sales, product, marketing, ops, legal, distributors, platforms, banks) to drive AUM growth, enhance investor experience, and strengthen the firm's brand presence in the NRI segment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ecosystem & Strategy: Build a comprehensive NRI investment journey (onboarding, product access, servicing, communication) and define segment identity.
- Distribution Enablement: Develop partnerships with domestic/offshore distributors, IFAs, wealth managers, and banks; activate training, webinars, and events.
- Product & Sales: Act as SME for NRI-focused offerings (GIFT City funds, UCITS, domestic MFs, PMS/AIFs); enable internal and external stakeholders through training and product launches.
- Marketing & Outreach: Drive NRI-specific campaigns, diaspora events, expos, and digital outreach; create educational materials that simplify tax, compliance, and onboarding.
- Process & Compliance: Partner with ops, legal, and compliance to streamline onboarding, FATCA/tax clarity, and regulatory adherence across jurisdictions.
Key Metrics:
- NRI AUM growth & SIP flows
- Active distribution relationships onboarded
- Outreach campaigns/trainings executed
- Improved investor experience (NPS)
- Faster product/distributor approvals
Qualifications & Experience:
- 6-12 years in mutual funds/wealth/asset management
- Strong NRI distribution exposure (GIFT City, UCITS, domestic MF)
- Established network across domestic and offshore channels
- Proven ability to balance strategic vision with execution in cross-functional setups
