A. Manufacturing Operations:

- Scale manufacturing capacity, production processes, and infrastructure in line with business growth.

- Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and timely production in a cost effective way.

- Create blue-prints, SOPs, manuals etc needed for optimal production and ensure all compliances with respect to manufacturing and the personnel.

- Drive production planning, scheduling, and capacity planning to meet business requirements.

- Monitor operational performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.

- Set up stringent QC norms for all items manufactured in the company's Manufacturing Unit.

- Set up QC process at material inbound stage.

B. Procurement:

- Build and strengthen strategic supplier partnerships, driving vendor development, risk mitigation, and supply continuity.

- Lead vendor co-ordination for sourcing of key products like gear boxes, motor and controller and ensure timely availability of materials.

- Engage with different vendors, including potential imports from China to optimise cost of material.

- Negotiate credit terms to streamline the working capital for the company.

- Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure business continuity.

- Drive cost optimization initiatives through strategic sourcing, value engineering, and alternate vendor development.

C. Inventory & Working Capital Management:

- Drive inventory planning and material availability while minimizing excess inventory.

- Optimize working capital through efficient inventory management, procurement planning, and vendor payment strategies.

- Establish inventory control processes to improve stock accuracy and material traceability.

- Monitor inventory movement and implement initiatives to reduce wastage and obsolete stock.

D. Make V/S Buy Ownership:

- Identify and evaluate components where in-house production offers a cost or quality advantage over outsourcing, ensuring optimal make-vs-buy decisions.

- Drive the roadmap for gradually localizing production by purchasing key machinery and equipment, enabling the company to achieve profitability.

E. Team Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Lead, mentor, and develop a growing Manufacturing & Supply Chain team.

- Build organizational capability by establishing clear roles, performance expectations, and development plans.

- Promote a zero-incident safety culture by ensuring proper use of metal shoes, routine emergency drills, and machine safety guarding.

- Collaborate closely with R&D, Business Development, After-Sales, Finance, and Leadership teams to ensure seamless execution across functions.

- Provide regular updates, insights, and recommendations to the leadership team to support strategic decision-making.

Eligibility Criteria:

A. Education:

- Preferably mechanical, electrical or production engineer; Any courses/degrees/certifications in Manufacturing, QC etc are added advantage.

B. Experience:

- Min 10-15 Years.

- Sector: EV companies preferred; Automotive & Auto Components, Farm Machinery.

- Experience of working on manufacturing shop floor & seeing processes at close quarters.

- Past experience in Supplier Technical Assistance (STA) or Component Development & Material Movement (CDMM) is greatly advantageous.

- Understanding of standard mechanical manufacturing processes and machines like laser cutting, bending, different types of welding etc.

- Good knowledge of electrical components like motor, wiring harness, battery, etc.

C. Skillsets:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite/ Google Suite, AutoCAD.

D. Language Proficiency:

- Hindi and English.

E. Background & Mindset:

- Leader who wants to build and scale something ground up in an early stage start-up.

- Passion to create impact and scale manufacturing of cutting edge new products.

- Ability to handle pressure, ambiguity and yet bring in processes and structure.
