Chalo - State Head - Madhya Pradesh

Role Brief:

You will be responsible for the successful execution of Chalo's projects across multiple cities within the state. You will ensure compliance with contractual and tender requirements, build strong relationships with government stakeholders, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own end-to-end project delivery across multiple cities, ensuring adherence to tender requirements.

- Act as the primary point of contact for State Transport Undertakings (STUs), government authorities, and other key stakeholders.

- Lead governance meetings, present project updates, address escalations, and build trusted stakeholder relationships.

- Coordinate with Operations, Product, Technology, Finance, and Support teams to ensure seamless project execution.

- Monitor project milestones, operational KPIs, SLAs, and compliance metrics, driving timely corrective actions where required.

- Identify project risks and operational challenges proactively, and implement effective mitigation plans.

- Lead and mentor city operations teams, ensuring consistent execution and high service standards across locations.

- Drive continuous process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.

What We're Looking For:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, program management, or operations leadership.

- Experience managing large government, public transport, mobility, or enterprise projects.

- Strong understanding of contract execution, tender compliance, and stakeholder governance.

- Proven experience working with senior government officials and external stakeholders.

- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.

- Willingness to travel extensively across assigned cities.
