
About the Role:
- The Tendering Specialist will lead and manage the complete tendering lifecycle - from opportunity identification to submission and negotiation.
- This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong commercial acumen, technical understanding, and cross-functional collaboration skills to deliver winning proposals that align with organizational goals.
- As a key member of the business development function, the Tendering Specialist will act as a bridge between sales, engineering, finance, and legal teams to ensure every bid is strategically crafted, compliant, and competitive.
Key Responsibilities:
Tender Management & Coordination:
- Identify, analyze, and track tender opportunities through government e-procurement portals, client notifications, and public tender databases.
- Evaluate tender documents and specifications to understand project scope, technical -deliverables, and commercial requirements.
- Drive the end-to-end tendering process, ensuring timely and accurate submission in compliance with all client and statutory requirements.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Prepare, compile, and review technical, commercial, and financial bid documents in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Ensure all tenders are compliant with corporate policies, regulatory guidelines, and contractual obligations.
- Manage pre-bid clarifications, amendments, and correspondence with clients and procurement authorities.
Financials & Strategy:
- Develop cost estimation models and pricing strategies in coordination with management and finance teams to enhance competitiveness.
- Conduct market intelligence on competitor pricing, industry benchmarks, and tender outcomes to guide future bidding strategies.
- Contribute to commercial risk assessment and provide inputs for decision-making on bid/no-bid scenarios.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Liaise with engineering, operations, legal, and finance departments to collect inputs and validate bid assumptions.
- Coordinate internal reviews, approvals, and documentation for final tender submissions.
- Support post-tender clarifications, presentations, and contract negotiation phases.
Governance & Reporting:
- Maintain a centralized database of all tenders - including status, outcomes, feedback, and performance analytics.
- Implement process improvements and standard templates to enhance the efficiency and quality of tender submissions.
- Prepare periodic reports on tender pipeline, win ratios, and bid performance metrics for management review.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related discipline (MBA preferred).
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in tendering, bid management, or contract administration in industrial, EPC, infrastructure, or technology domains.
