Role Overview:
Own end-to-end category P&L, drive growth across D2C, quick commerce, and marketplaces,optimize assortment, pricing, and inventory, and lead cross-functional teams to boost visibility, customer experience, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end P&L management for the category, including assortment planning, pricing, discounting, promotions, and inventory optimization to ensure profitability and availability.
- Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, competitor activities, and sales data to identify growth opportunities and refine product offerings.
- Develop and execute comprehensive category growth strategies across D2C channels, quick commerce platforms (e.g., Blinkit, Zepto), and marketplaces to drive revenue and market penetration
- Build and nurture strategic partnerships with platform leaders, suppliers, and retailers to enhance visibility, support, and collaborative initiatives.
- Oversee product catalog management, listings, content strategy, and funnel optimization across digital touchpoints to improve customer experience and conversion
- Lead cross-functional teams (e.g., supply chain, marketing, sales) to execute omnichannel initiatives, monitor customer feedback/reviews, and drive acquisition/retention efforts.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Financial and P&L Expertise: Proficiency in owning profit & loss statements, budgeting, pricing optimization, and ROI analysis to ensure sustainable profitability and cost efficiency.
- Partnership and Stakeholder Management: Skill in building and negotiating high-impact collaborations with platforms (e.g., Blinkit, Amazon), suppliers, and internal teams to enhance distribution and visibility.
- Strategic Growth Mindset: Ability to formulate and execute multi-channel growth strategies, including omnichannel expansion and market penetration, with a proven track record of scaling revenue in competitive D2C/FMCG landscapes.
- Adaptability and Agility: Resilience in navigating startup ambiguities, rapid market shifts, and quick iterations, with a bias for action in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
- Analytical and Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong command of data tools (e.g., Excel, Google Analytics, BI platforms) for consumer trend forecasting, sales performance tracking, and competitive benchmarking.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Engineering (preferred).
- Minimum 6 years of experience in operations management.
- Prior experience in D2C industry is highly desirable.
