Overview:
Ceres Environmental, a leading U.S.-based provider of environmental, disaster recovery, and infrastructure services, is seeking an FP&A Analyst to join its finance team from India. This role will provide critical financial insights and planning support for our U.S. operations, collaborating daily with finance, operations, and executive teams across time zones.
As part of our global finance function, you'll play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, performance tracking, and supporting the company's strategic financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Forecasting & Budgeting:
Support the preparation and ongoing updates of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial plans for U.S. business units.
- Business Performance Analysis:
Provide monthly and ad-hoc analysis of financial performance, including variance to budget and forecast, trend identification, and KPI reporting.
- Job Costing Insights:
Partner with operations to analyze job-level costs (labor, equipment, materials), improving visibility and accuracy in a historically under-analyzed area.
- Strategic Support:
Assist in evaluating new business cases, capital investment decisions, and profitability of business lines and projects.
- Reporting & Dashboards:
Develop and maintain financial dashboards, automate reporting processes, and support management and board reporting packages.
- Systems & Data Integration:
Work closely with U.S. finance and tech teams to improve the integration of Vista (ERP) and Salesforce data into cohesive financial insights.
- Collaboration Across Teams:
Liaise regularly with project accountants, operations leads, and the Director of Finance office in the U.S. to ensure financial alignment and timely data delivery.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 3-6 years of relevant experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or management consulting
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (CA/CMA/MBA preferred)
- Strong Excel and financial modeling expertise
- Experience working with ERP and reporting tools (Vista, NetSuite, SAP, Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to work with international teams and across time zones
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and curiosity to understand operational drivers
- Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable in a fast-paced, mission-driven organization
Preferred Experience:
- Exposure to infrastructure, disaster recovery, construction, or environmental services
- Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and reporting standards
- Previous experience supporting U.S.-based operations or leadership
- Prior involvement in system and process optimization initiatives
