Position: Central Procurement Head (Expatriate India)

Experience: 10+ years overall | Minimum 5 years in Bangladesh (Mandatory)

Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh

Role Purpose:

This leadership role involves overseeing all strategic procurement activities across the companys manufacturing units, with a focus on cost optimization, supplier consolidation, contract governance, and supply chain risk minimization. The selected candidate will drive global procurement efficiencies and implement best practices aligned with organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute global procurement strategies aligned with business objectives

- Lead vendor identification, negotiation, and long-term contract management

- Consolidate procurement across units for efficiency and cost savings

- Establish procurement policies, compliance frameworks, and ethical sourcing standards

- Implement digital procurement tools, dashboards, and supplier scorecards

- Manage procurement categories: raw materials, consumables, machinery, services, logistics

- Monitor global commodity trends and supply market risks

- Lead cross-functional procurement teams across Bangladesh, coordinating with India HQ

- Ensure timely sourcing of critical materials across all manufacturing units

- Build and maintain supplier relationships across India, China, SE Asia, and Europe

- Lead capability building, talent development, and succession planning

Candidate Profile:

Nationality: Indian (Mandatory)

Experience: 10+ years in procurement with at least 5 years in senior leadership

- Must have worked in Dhaka, Bangladesh for 5+ years

- Background in textiles/garments manufacturing or export-oriented industries

- Strong expertise in global sourcing, vendor negotiations, and supply chain risk management

- Strong leadership, cross-cultural communication, and stakeholder management skills
