Role Overview:

Central Books is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Technology to lead and evolve its digital ecosystem, including the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP platform, Magento e-commerce website and the internally developed BizOps system. The role involves strategic planning, system architecture, team leadership and cross-functional collaboration to deliver a robust and scalable digital backbone for the business over the next phase of growth.

This leader will drive technology transformation, strengthen integrations, optimize operations and ensure high availability across all business-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Technology Strategy & Digital Roadmap:

- Develop and implement a 23 years of technology strategy aligned with business growth and operational efficiency.

- Define the architecture for Dynamics 365, Magento, BizOps, logistics integrations and warehouse systems.

- Lead digital transformation initiatives aimed at automation, efficiency and customer experience improvement.

ERP Ownership Microsoft Dynamics 365:

- Own end-to-end configuration, enhancement, deployment and optimization of Dynamics 365.

- Drive improvements across inventory, finance, procurement, sales and order-to-cash processes.

- Manage ERP vendors and implementation partners ensuring timely delivery and quality.

E-commerce Platform Management Magento:

- Oversee Magento platform performance, user experience, feature development and reliability.

- Lead website enhancements to support schools, parents, institutions and B2B customers.

- Improve conversion metrics, search functionality, product catalog management and payment success rates.

BizOps Portal Leadership:

- Strengthen and scale the internal BizOps platform as the central workflow engine for business operations.

- Expand functionality across dashboards, MIS reporting, order flow, forecasting and automation.

- Ensure seamless integrations between ERP, Magento, logistics systems and support tools.

Team Leadership & Capability Building:

- Build and manage a high-performing technology team, including: ERP specialists, Magento developers, Backend engineers, QA testers

- Set clear KPIs, mentor team members and drive strong engineering culture and delivery discipline.

Program Management & Vendor Coordination:

- Lead end-to-end project planning, execution, testing and rollout.

- Manage technology budgets, timelines and vendor contracts.

- Conduct periodic project reviews and ensure quality of deliverables.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Business Support:

- Work closely with Operations, Sales, Warehouse, Accounts, Customer Support and Leadership teams.

- Identify process gaps and recommend technology-driven solutions.

- Provide business intelligence dashboards and insights to support decision-making.

Required Experience & Skills:

Technical Expertise:

- Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP, including modules relevant to inventory, finance, procurement and sales.

- Proven experience managing and enhancing Magento-based e-commerce platforms.

- Experience with API integrations, automation tools, databases (SQL), cloud systems and workflow platforms.

- Ability to architect scalable systems and manage complex digital product ecosystems.

Leadership & Functional Skills:

- 5+ years of leadership experience managing cross-functional technology teams.

- Strong project management, vendor management and delivery execution skills.

- Ability to translate business requirements into technology solutions.

- Experience in distribution, retail, e-commerce or supply chain industry is highly preferred.

Educational Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- MBA or relevant certification (preferred but not mandatory).

- Certifications in Dynamics 365, Magento, cloud platforms, or project management are a plus.
