Job Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of robust costing methodologies, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and evolving accounting standards (IND-AS).
- Drive process improvement initiatives, leveraging techniques like QIP and Kaizen to enhance efficiency and accuracy within costing and budgeting functions.
- Conduct comprehensive cost analysis, including pre-costing activities, conversion cost analysis, and evaluation of capital expenditure proposals.
- Play a key role in the physical verification of assets and inventory, ensuring data integrity and compliance with internal audit requirements.
- Champion digitization efforts within the costing and budgeting domain, identifying and implementing technology solutions to streamline processes and enhance data visibility.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information, provide cost insights, and support decision-making processes.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, contributing to a high happiness index within the Finance department.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes, proactively adapting costing practices to maintain compliance and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar costing and budgeting role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of costing principles, methodologies, and relevant accounting standards (IND-AS).
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement initiatives and leveraging analytical tools for cost optimization.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across different levels of the organization.
- Proficient in using relevant software applications, including ERP systems and data analysis tools.
- A proactive and results-oriented individual with a strong commitment to accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.
