Vice President - Engineering
Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled, architecture-focused VP of Engineering to lead our engineering organization at our Hyderabad office.
You will have approximately 6-8 direct reports (staff engineers), each managing their own sub-teams and leading an organization of roughly 32-40 members.
This role blends strategic architectural leadership with hands-on technical involvement and client-facing collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Architectural Leadership: Drive the technical architecture of our applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Mentor staff engineers to enhance their architectural prowess.
- Hands-On Technical Engagement: Be ready to dive into the codebase, troubleshoot production issues, and work directly with teams to debug and optimize.
- Whether it's resolving slow APIs or analyzing logs, lead by doing.
- AI Transformation and Innovation: Champion our shift to an AI-first organization by experimenting with tools firsthand and fostering a culture of innovation throughout the team.
- Sales and Client Collaboration: Work closely with the sales teams to join customer calls, assist in initial solutioning, and help craft technical proposals.
- Additionally, engage in ongoing client collaborations to manage technical aspects and ensure successful project delivery.
- Team Leadership and Mentorship: Oversee a team of 6 to 8 direct reports, each leading their own sub-teams, fostering growth, and ensuring engineering excellence.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in leading engineering teams with a strong focus on architecture and hands-on coding.
- Ability to collaborate with sales and clients on technical pre-sales and project delivery.
- A leader who leads by example, embracing new technologies and encouraging the team to do the same
