Role Overview:
This Category Management - Snacks, Namkeen & Chips role is responsible for driving the growth and profitability of the Snacks, Namkeen & Chips category. The role involves developing and executing category strategies, managing product portfolios, analyzing market trends, and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance. This role directly impacts the company's market share, revenue, and brand perception within\ the competitive snacks industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement offline category strategies aligned with overall business objectives to maximize market share and profitability.
- Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities and inform product development initiatives.
- Manage the product portfolio, including new product launches, product rationalization, and pricing strategies, to optimize category performance.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop and execute promotional plans and trade marketing activities to drive sales and brand awareness.
- Work closely with the supply chain team to ensure efficient inventory management and product availability to meet consumer demand.
- Monitor and analyze category performance metrics, including sales, market share, and profitability, to identify areas for improvement and track progress against goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including retailers and distributors, to optimize product placement and distribution.
- Conduct regular market visits and competitor analysis to stay abreast of industry trends and identify potential threats and opportunities.
Required Skillset:
- Experience in managing P&L and budgets.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful category strategies that drive revenue growth and market share gains.
- Proven ability to analyze market data, consumer insights, and competitive trends to identify opportunities and inform decision-making.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to effectively influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address category challenges and opportunities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- Adaptability to work in an on-site environment in Gurgaon/Gurugram.
