Category Manager - Skincare/Beauty/Personal Care

About the Role:

Our client is a fast-growing women's wellness and personal care brand looking for a Category Manager to drive the growth and profitability of the skincare category. The role involves managing category performance, identifying consumer and market opportunities, working on product launches and pricing, and collaborating with Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain and Finance teams.

Location: Mumbai

Experience: 5 - 10 years

Mode:

Full-time, on-site, 5 days

Role Responsibilities:

- Own the skincare category's growth, revenue and profitability.

- Build category plans across D2C, marketplaces and offline channels.

- Identify consumer needs, market trends and opportunities for new products.

- Drive product development, launches, packaging and positioning.

- Develop pricing, promotions and portfolio strategies to improve margins and growth.

- Track key business metrics and use data to improve category performance.

- Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance and Product teams.

- Manage the category roadmap from new product launches to scaling existing products.

Requirements:

- 5 - 10 years of experience in Category Management, preferably in skincare or cosmetics.

- Experience in Beauty, E-commerce, D2C or consumer brands.

- Strong understanding of category growth, pricing and profitability.

- Experience building products/portfolios from 0 - 1 and scaling them further.

- Strong Excel, data analysis and problem-solving skills.

- Good understanding of consumer behaviour and market trends.

- Strong ownership and ability to execute in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

- MBA preferred.
