Job Description : Category Manager - Growth & Analytics (Luxury Fashion)
Location : Bangalore (Hybrid/On-site)
Experience : 3-6 Years
Budget : Up to 30-35 LPA
Industry : Premium Fashion / Luxury Retail / D2C
Role Overview:
We are looking for a data-driven Category Manager who can blend the art of fashion with the science of analytics. In this role, you will be responsible for the P&L of specific luxury categories, using deep-dive analytics to drive assortment planning, pricing strategies, and revenue growth. You will not just manage a category; you will engineer its success using data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Category Strategy & P&L: Take full ownership of the category's Top-line and Bottom-line. Develop a strategic roadmap for category expansion in the luxury and premium segment.
- Data-Driven Assortment Planning: Use historical sales data, trend forecasting, and customer behavior analytics to decide the 'Right Mix' of products, styles, and price points.
- Pricing & Markdown Optimization: Build analytical models to determine optimal pricing and discount strategies that maximize margins without diluting the brand's luxury appeal.
- Inventory Analytics: Monitor stock health (Weeks of Cover, Sell-through rates, and Ageing) to ensure zero stock-outs of high-demand luxury items and minimize deadstock.
- Market & Competitor Intelligence: Use web-scraping tools or market reports to track competitor pricing, new launches, and global luxury trends to keep our catalog ahead of the curve.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Tech and Data Science teams to build automated dashboards (Tableau/PowerBI) for real-time category tracking.
- Consumer Insights: Analyze customer cohorts and NPS to understand what the premium consumer wants and tailor the category accordingly.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: 3-6 years in Category Management or Business/Product Analytics, preferably with a Fashion or Lifestyle e-commerce giant (like Myntra Luxury, Tata CLiQ Luxury, Ajio Luxe).
- Analytical Tools: Mastery in SQL and Advanced Excel is mandatory. Experience with Python, R, or visualization tools (Tableau/PowerBI) is a significant advantage.
- Business Sense: Ability to translate complex data sets into actionable business insights for the leadership team.
- Education: MBA from a Tier-1 institute or a degree in a Quantitative field (Engineering, Math, Economics) with a passion for Fashion.
- Detail Oriented: In the luxury segment, the difference is in the details-from SKU descriptions to pixel-perfect cataloging.
What's in it for you?
- Strategic Role: You sit at the intersection of Fashion, Business, and Technology.
- High Visibility: Your data insights will directly influence the company's investment and growth decisions.
- Elite Environment: Work with the finest international and Indian luxury brands.
