
This is a high-ownership role for someone who combines strong category strategy, business development, consumer understanding and execution depth. The person will work closely with the business leadership team and play a key role in shaping how categories are built at company.
What you will own:
- Define the overall category strategy, including assortment architecture, selection design, pricing and positioning.
- Identify consumer needs and build differentiated, high-quality selections aligned with Business proposition.
- Own relationships with brands, manufacturers and ecosystem partners, including senior stakeholder conversations.
- Drive commercial negotiations and create differentiated propositions, exclusive products or customised ranges with brands.
- Evaluate new categories and build them from the ground up as organization expands into new areas.
- Work closely with sourcing, quality, supply chain, marketing and storefront teams to ensure strong execution.
- Own category economics and drive sustainable growth, margins and overall business performance.
- Ensure products are brought to market with the right consumer proposition, product story and merchandising.
- Build scalable processes and develop strong category teams as the business grows.
What we are looking for:
- 12 - 15 years of experience across Category Management, Business Management, Buying, Merchandising or Consumer Business roles.
- Strong experience owning categories or business lines with meaningful revenue responsibility. Experience in e-commerce, quick commerce, FMCG, consumer brands, retail or D2C businesses.
- Strong commercial orientation with experience managing brands, negotiations and strategic partnerships.
- Ability to think strategically while remaining deeply hands-on with execution.
- Strong consumer intuition and the ability to make thoughtful selection and assortment decisions.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-growing environment where categories, structures and priorities can evolve rapidly.
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to independently build businesses rather than operate only within established processes.
